Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois

Medical Malpractice?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made the hardest decision of my life and I got an abortion. I had a surgical abortion on October 15th. After the surgery, I was was told everything went perfect, given some medicine, and sent home. Two days later I was in extreme pain. I went to the ER and after many tests they admitted me to the hospital. The ER doctor said I had an incomplete abortion. I had to have another surgery that day. I was just wondering if this was medical malpractice or negligence or anything. And if so what would be my best option to pursue this. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: Medical Malpractice?

It may or may not be malpractice. Your records need to be reviewed. However, absent significant permanent damages, and hopefully, you do not have any; the cost and difficulty of a malpractice case is probably not worth pursuing. Hope you ahve a good recovery.
