Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I have an open trial for a personal injury but my lawyer has been given an offer by my ex employer, and dont certanly think that offer is not resonable. The lawyer comments that if I decide to go to jury trial we will definetely loose and will not get any compensation. I have 2weeks to make a decision if either to get the compensation or go to jury trial. Is this true regarding a jury trial if an offer has been given?

Not sure exactly what you mean by your ex-employer. But generally, an offer is null and void when there is a verdict. The verdict is the final determination of a case. So if there is an offer and you go to trial and the jury says "zero", you get zero. If the jury says you get more than the offer, the defendant has to pay that additional amount. Whatever the jury says is the final answer to your complaint.
