Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

I recently purchased a used vehicle. Before I bought it, the dealer told me everything was fine and there was nothing wrong with it. Along with the purchase he sold me a warrenty that he said would cover any repairs if needed. After driving off the lot, problems began to arise. I tried to return the car but he would not take it, and said the warrenty would cover anything that needed to be fixed. From there, i contacted the warrenty company and they said that the information about the car was not in their system because the dealer never submitted it to them.Later on they ended up denying the entire claim.2 days later, I tried once again to return the car but he still would not take it. I had no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket. And now the engine is failing. Do i have a case if i were to sue him for selling me a fake warrent and an unsafe vehicle?I am only 20 years old and have invested a lot of money into fixing all the repairs. I am very stressed about the situation and would appreciate any advice you have to offer.
