Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I entered into a verbal agreement with a close friend of mine to purchase a home contract for deed. After 20 months of making monthly payments of $370, I was informed that she was going to file bankruptcy on the house I was buying, and then informed me that the house was gong into foreclosure. My question is, do I have any legal right to the over $7000 dollars that I have paid her towards the mortgage of the house. On a side note all I have of proof is my withdrawls from my bank account for the payments, she wouldn't accept checks from me for the payment, and she never provided me a reciept for any of the payments.
