Entry on Adjoining Land

I would like to have a tree removed that is situated on adjoining land. The owner of the adjoining property has stated that I have his authorization. How do I legally protect myself from liability in the future?

Have an attorney prepare a license agreement allowing you entry onto the property to remove the tree and limiting liability between the two of you.
