Lease Breaking

What does Illinois Lae state about a tenant breaking a lease due to a job reloaction out of state? What are the liabilties?

The change in your job will not change your obligation under your lease. I would suggest that you attempt, with your landlord's permission, to sub-let. The amount of damages would change due to the landlord's duty to mitigate damages. Good luck.

Hello. Even if the tenant

has to leave out of state

on account of a job reloca-

tion, he or she is still

responsible for payment of

the lease.....its a contract

and when a contract is broken

the offending party can be

sued.
