Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Insurance for Landlord that is renting property

Is it legally required for the landowner to have insurance on a lot that is being rented? This is on the land itself not buildings. If so what is covered by insurance? If there was a personnal injure on the property, what would the insurance cover? When does the renter become responsible for persons or items on property?
