My landlord is getting divorced and he is temporarily out of the house,I have always paid him the rent,now his wife is demanding I pay the rent to her.She has never paid a bill in her life.Can I continue to pay him or can I tell her to get me a court order.

Demand that she provide a note from her future ex-husband authorizing her to receive rents and MAKE SURE TO GET A SIGNED RECEIPT from her that the money was paid for rent. That way, you'll have something to show the judge in court if either one of them sues you for eviction and the non-payment of rent. Under normal circumstances, legally, they are bound by their marriage to share assets and liabilities until a court formally enters a divorce decree stating how they are to share those.
