Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Rental Property

We went to court, and the judge ordered that the old tenants owe us $3200.00. Now they stuck us with the last water bill as well after the judgement. I only have a new phone number for them, but it is unlisted. Is it possible to get the address somehow if I contact someone, seeing that they have a judgement against them? What do you recommend for the next step, they have been running now for 4 months with 0 payment made yet.

Re: Rental Property

Hello. This is a common problem for

landlords. Usually I will use a private investigator to search public

regards to locate the debtor in situations where there is a judgment.

I suggests that when you are in court in the future seeking payment for rent that you ask the court to direct the tenant to provide information under oath so that they can be located. If it turns out that this information is not true then they will also be guilty of perjury. From your posting I am unable to determine whether you got employment information or whom to contact about them in case of an emergency. I will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
