Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

College student sexual harassed by professor.

I am a student at a local community college and one of my teachers has sexually harassed me. The college is going through a proceedure now to get him fired but what can I do for myself? Can I sue him for emotional distress or anything else? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Thank You.

In general, students who are sexually harassed are permitted to bring claims for monetary damages against the college. Please feel free to contact my office if you would like to discuss this matter.
