Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Illinois

Older man lies to 18 y.o. girl about age

I met an older man who said he was 27. I am 18. We started dating, and engaging in sexual activity. I later found out that he is 36.

Is there ANY charges I can press? I now feel he is a sick man who should probably be considered a sex offender.

Re: Older man lies to 18 y.o. girl about age

Hello. The issue is whether the older man

broke any laws to you when he lied about his

age, but where you consented to sexual relations.

You may be able to file a lawsuit against him on

some theory of fraud, but this may be an uphill

battle. On the other hand, if you consented to

sexual relations with him because he was no older

than 27 and you have proof of this in the form of

witnesses who will testify on your behalf, you

just might have a case. I will be happy to

answer any additional questions that you might

have. P.s. If you are still seeing him, it

will definitely hurt your case.
