Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

I have a court date on 28th of april driving on revolked lic. I will be out of town leaving tomorrow on family emergency... I don't have my atty secured as of yet as well. 9an I send my wife to tell the judge in on family leave and get a contuience. I'm on a I Bond as well?????

Your answer really depends on the judge who is sitting in the court. If you send your wife and have her relay this information to the court you will likely either get the continuance, have a warrant entered and continued for a future court date or have a warrant issued on your court date. Being on an I-bond helps.

If you can retain an attorney and have him/her appear on your behalf that would be best.

I agree with the above post. A warrant will be issued if you do not haqve someone at court on the 28th, preferably an attorney.
