Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Denied Dismissal - Discovery Ignored - Traffic Court

I received a speeding ticket (16 mph over) on 4/6/08 in Lake County, Ill.. Sent a letter to the DA requesting Discovery on 5/13/08. At my court date on 6/16/08 the DA had my letter, but did not and could not provide the request. A continuance was granted until 7/21/08. On 6/19/08 I received a letter from the DA with the answers to my questions. On 7/21/08 I asked the judge to dismiss the charge because the DA ignored my request initially at my first trial date, and I felt there were rules against this, and because of this non disclosure at that time, my right to a speedy trial was violated.

Do I have any chance of appealing this argument?

How much money do you have?? In my experience, the cost of an appeal far outweighs the practicalities.
