Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

DUI while speeding without a license

I was recently picked up for speeding while I had been drinking. I was given a speeding ticket (42 in 30), 2 DUI's, seatbelt ticket, and driving on a suspended license ticket (Due to speeding). What are the possible outcomes of this situation?

Re: DUI while speeding without a license

it depends on if you are a first time offender. I can predict that you will be given court supervision if a first timer. I am very very good at DUIs. I would ask that you contact my office asap. I cn complete your case on the first court appearance if we act fast. I charge $1750 for a first time DUI. Please call me for a free consult.

Re: DUI while speeding without a license

A DUI is a Class A misdemeanor and carries a potential penalty of up to 364 days in jail and fines of up to $2500. A Driving on Suspended License ticket is also a class A and has the same possible penalties. You also stand to have another suspension added to your license for having a breath alcohol in excess of .08. There are specific time limitations for contesting that suspension. While first time offenders often receive court supervision, when there are aggravating factors such as a suspended license, the judge may be interested in imposing a conviction which would cause your license to be revoked, in addition to other consequences. DUI and licensing laws are fairly complex, but you may have any number of defenses. If you wish to discuss the matter further please call our office at 630-257-8280 or 312-493-1333.

Re: DUI while speeding without a license

First, in 26 years of practicing law I have never heard of anyone getting two DUI's on one traffice stop. I would like to have that one explained. Second, the answer to your question will depend upon a variety of factors. where did this happen? What court(s) are your cases in? what is your record like? why are you suspended? When will you be eligible to get a license? Was there an accident involved? Did you take a breathalyzer? What did you blow? If yo will answer these questions, I may be able to answer yours.

Re: DUI while speeding without a license

The outcome pretty much depends on whether you ever had a DUI before. If this is a "first offense" as defined by statute, you can expect to pay for alcohol counseling, increased insurance rates, as well as about $500 to 1000 in fines and costs, not to mention attorneys fees. Good Luck
