Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Speeding Ticket in Cook county Illinois

I got a speeding ticket by a state trooper this morning on I55 in Illinois. I asked him if I could see the radar and he told me no. The officer wrote the wrong date on the ticket. He used yesterdays date. He also handed it to me and told me to have a nice day. He never asked me to read it or sign it.

Can I beat this in court based on the above? This is my first ticket in over 20 years.

You need an attorney. Where is this ticket pending.

No law requires the offier to show you any radar. There was no need for you to sign the ticket. The error on the date will not matter. I would suggest that you hire an attorney who can help you to avoid taking a conviction on this ticket, and you may call me if you do not already have an attorney.
