Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

Estate for a child

My adult son who was married died recently. People have told us we are entitled to share his estate with his wife? He did not have a will nor did he designate us as a beneficiary on any of his death benefits.

The wife gets 100%. The only way she only gets half is if your son had children. Parents only come in if no children or spouse. Feel free to ask follow up questions
