kids money

thanks for your answer on kids money. I want to split money and put it into education account and another bank that has better rates for cd's. and would like to be able to do so with paying a lawyer to go to court to ask permission to move it when i find better rates. every 6 months to a yr. Its really money consuming for me. and i would like to change age because 18 is to young to get that kind of money

To protect yourself, you must get a court order, otherwise you are open to claims of violating your duty as the guardian. If the money is earmarked for them at 18, you cannot change that, it is not your money to give.
