Benefits

Can my benefits be cut off because I opted not to have a medical treatment that was recommended by the doctors. The doctors didn't have a diagnosis for me and can't figure out the problem so I didn't feel comfortable with the treatment. They are now telling me because of that they will terminate my benefits, can they do that?
