Legal Question in Technology Law in India

Where can one report the inappropriate, communal, hatred creating content which is available on internet ? Does the report abuse option available on facebook, youtube etc. really works ? where to escalate if these sites do not remove the reported content ?

You can lodge a written complaint with the Cyber Crime Cell at the Police Headquarters in Chennai. They will initiate the necessary action to eliminate the contents and commence proceedings against the alleged offenders / perpetrators.

You can do two things (i) lodge a complaint with Police - Cyber Crime branch / division in your locality. & (ii) report tp the concerned site - ie. facebook, youtube - as the case may be.
