Consumer Act Clarification

some has advised me to file a complaint under consumer protection act 1996. Is that exist?Or it should be consumer protection act 1986. Complaint is already filed then what is next to do?

1. The correct year is 1986.

2. Mentioning the wrong year will not affect your complaint. You have nothing to do in this regard.

Yes, consumer protection Act still exist.After filing complaint the other party shall file reply, then parties file their Affidavits and put their case thereafter arguments take place which follow deceision of court.
