Re: not givinfg proper service

You can definately file a complaint under the Cosumer Protection Act for deficiency in service if their was any deficiency in services, provided by the company. But since you have mentioned that the company has repaired the mobile and returned back I can only say that your case will be very weak and resting on a thin base. Moreover it will be helpful for you if you read the service agreement on the back of the bill provided by the service center.

Re: not givinfg proper service

Hi,

If there is a deficiency in the service rendered or defect in the goods purchased, you can complain before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (Consumer Court) of your district for the redressal of your grievances. But for that, you'll have to prove that there was a deficiency of service (neglect, indifference etc.) on the part of the seller in dealing with your complaint. Did you buy the handset with invoice, guarantee card etc., from an authorised service centre? Do you have the invoice and guarantee card with you? If it was due to the complaint of the handset, the seller is normally bound by the terms of the guarantee... what are the terms of the guarantee card? Do you have the service-receipt to show that the hand set was entrusted with the seller for service and the same was returned to you after 13 days? If the handset goes wrong during the guarantee period, due to manufacturing defects, they are bound to repair it free of cost. But if the phone goes wrong several times within the guarantee period, you are well entitled to claim the replacement, refund and the damages for the troubles caused. If you provide full details, we'll try to guide you.
