Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I had a credit card in 1999 from Standard chartered bank. This was closed more than 10 years back. I am now getting call from a recovery agent regarding filing FIR in Bangalore (which is where I lived earlier) for money reovery. I have not received any written communication from bank or any agncey regarding this. And nor do I remember having any oustandings when I closed the card more than 10 years ago. I haven't even kept the card communications for so many years. I now now live in ahmedbad. Can you please advise what should be right approach followed here?

The bank or the recovery agents cannot recover anything legally from you after 10 years so relax and if they trouble you again, make a police complaint about the agents.

you may see a lawyer and he would sent a legal notice to the bank and the recovery agent.
