Legal Question in Family Law in India

This is in continuation to my earlier querry where you have suggested "You may file a case for EXECLUSIVE custody of your daughter. Since the child is already, the court may ascertain her wish also before taking a final decision." Does exclusive custody mean that my ex-husband cannot visit my daughter? My daughter does/nt want to see his face even. That is why this querry. Please clarify. TIA.

exclusive custody means that you will be getting the custody of your daughter and would be taking all the responsibilities of your daughter. but exclusive custody does not deprive your husband the meeting rights on his daughter. as per law, he is the natural guardian and would remain one, even if you remarry.

The "visitation rights" will be decided by the court and may become a part of the custody order. The court may deny visitation rights.
