Legal Question in Family Law in India

*As per HMA if the couples married in India, man with NRI status,is it possible for the wife or any of her family member to file 498a against the husband who now becomes a citizen of other country ?

*Is it possible to claim for maintenance under Crpc 125 when the wife is already working and earning enough to live her own ?

*Is it possible for the wife or her family to file false 420,DV or any other case against the husband without sufficient proof ?

Iam only looking for specific answer to my above questions so i would request you please don't give vague answers like contact a lawyer or don't go for divorce or i am right or wrong etc

you are getting scared for no reason and unnecessarily thinking about cases that are beyond your control you can only retain a lawyer and explain the circumstance and a strategy for defence can be discussed. if your wife is earning sufficiently and is able to maintain herself as per your standards, she may not get maintenance. if you anticipate that a 420 can be made out against you, explain why you think so.

Wife can file the cases against you. But when you want specific answers for your queries then it is better to be specific about your real problems, what you have done and why you are so scared. Otherwise it is better to engage a lawyer of your choice and get the things done. But don't be scared. Even if the cases are filed you can defend the same but you cannot stop anybody filing cases even if they are false. And to prove the cases are false one has to attend court.
