My sister wants a divorce
Hi, My sister age 25 is a born Roman Catholic married to a Hindu guy who lives in Canada. My sister lives in India. She got married in July 1999 and Since then her husband has never shown the interest of bringing her to Canada. My sister is fed up of his excuses. Also she suspects her husband to be cheating on her. She is fed up and wants a divorce. Does Indian Divorce Act allow a Roman Catholic Girl to demand divorce, even when they were married in a church, which does not recognise ''Divorce''. Please answer!

Yes, she can ask for divorce. Take appropriate legal advise, though.

She can get divorce in India under Special Marriage Act.
