Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

I got employment to a univesity at Kolkata after passing written test and interview and worked there for more than three years. Some persons filed a suit against it allegeding illegal employment. The university authority did not inform the actual matter i.e., employment exchange call to court and the court terminated us. We are now fighting at division bench of same High court. The hearing has been completed in December, 2008 but till now court does not deliver any judgement regarding this. Please let me know the followings as I am ignorant of law:-

a) any job from employment exchange call which is completely a govt. organisation and entrusted to provide employment is legal or illegal.

b) How long judges can delay for any judgement i.e., how long we are to wait.

I may mention here that in our appointment letter the following lines were written--

"Your appointment is subjected to Hon'ble High Court Jurisdiction vide writ petition No............."

a ) It shall be bonafide one, if said employement exchange programme is from Government Organisation that which comes in the ambit of nature of "University Grants Commission".

& please go through procedure ref., in the State Universities of India Act 1976.

b ) Since the matter is already in the respective Hon'ble High Court as you told, I can not speak, but please followup your Advocate.
