Legal Question in Employment Law in India

We are employed some contract labour at ntpc, jhajjar, haryana. i want to confirm that what is the basis to calculate their wages in any month. whether it will 26 days or 30/31 days. if it is 26 days how i will calculate. for example a worker getteing 4000 salary per month (i.e. for 30 days) and if he will present 30 days including sunday and we are not implimenting any ot system then how to calculate their wage

A workman may be entitled to receive full one month's wages against work for 26 days. Therefore, you are required to calculate the wages accordingly. You may also keep in mind the provisions of Punjab Shop & Establishment Act applicable in Haryana.

26 days. However, if a worker is working extra i.e for 30 days then he is entitled to OT. Kindly check with your labout consultant.
