good morning sir,sir i have purchased an old bus on the date of 03 03 2011 december 2004
model the first owner of the bus didinot paid tax since 2008 and sir now who is responsible for the previous taxes

the chargeabilility of tax is qua the vehicle. you pay the tax and you have a right to recover it from the seller.

Before you pay it, you may send the seller a legal notice asking him to pay the tax to authorities. Honest seller may agree to do so.

It is the duty of the 1st owner but if he has not paid tax then you are suppose to pay and get the same recovered from your seller.
