My boyfriend and i are in a relation for 4 years.. His family is opposing for our relation.We have a physical relation from the time we started dating and once i had an abortion aswel.. Do i have any legal right??pls help..

Please specify What type of legal right you are talking about. Your relationship is called 'live-in-relationship'. It is not recognised by any law in India other than the recently enacted 'Protection of women from Domestic Violence Act 2005' whereunder a lady in liv-in-relationship has been given certain rights. You may refer to the said Act for a list of those rights.

Yes, you may have a legal right against your boy-friend; the "live-in" relationship has been recognised under the Domestic Violence Act. You may be entitled to claim compensation / damages from your partner on the same footing as a wife may make claim against her husband.
