I am buying one open plot in hyderabad at boduppal area. that plot divided by two plots (previous 266 yards now 133 & 133) i am buying one part of 133yards. what I to check the documents. can i buy with GPA? what is the difference between GPA Vs registration?. shankara chary- hyderabad

Dear Shankara Chary,

1) You need to check whether the 133 yards portion of land that you are buying exists in the name of the seller in the District Property Register.

2) Purchase against GPA is not recommended.

3) Post agreement, ensure that the land is on your name in the record of the District Property Registrar, on payment of the prevailing applicable stamp duty for transfer.
