Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Land construction

My grandfather purchased an open land in the name of my father 50 years back. Grandfather has expired and the papers are with my uncle who is not willing to give the original documents. My dad is 73 years and he has no idea of survey number.(we have not details). The person from whome my grandfather purchased the land is a local leader and is now preventing us to do any consturction. How should i proceed? What measures should I take before taking any steps.

Re: Land construction

You may obtain duplicate papers from the Registration authorities (office of the Tehsildar of the area where land is situated). On the basis of the title deed, you may seek permission from the concerned authorities for raising construction.

If there anybody prevents you illegally, you may approach the local police.
