Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I have purchased a flat.I am the 4th person.the 2nd & 3rd flat seller were not applied for membership & transfer of flat share certificate on their name. Now I am the 4th purchaser. I have given my flat on rent. Society has given me oral notice with7 days time to become a member of soceity with all pending maintenance dues and transfer fee of 2nd , 3rd &4th;.

otherwise society will not allow me or flat rented person to liive in the flat. further will take legal action and society will take my flat.I have no right on purchased flat.

!) Is membership of society is compulsory?

2) why the pending charges are born by me(4th purchaser)?

3) why scoeity is harrashing me?

2. May be, as you were not diligent to check pending dues.

3. Demand of dues may not be regarded as harassment.

as you the new member, you are bound to clear the dues and later recover them from the earlier owners.
