Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Tenant is neither paying rent nor vacating the property

I have purchased a house in 2005. There were two old shop keepers who have occupied two shops at the ground floor of the house. They are not paying me any rent from the date of my occupation of the property. They are not ready to vacat the said property. More over they had issued a notice through a lawyer for repairs and maintainance of the said shops ?

What relief can i get from court when they are not paying any rent from 2005 ?

Re: Tenant is neither paying rent nor vacating the property

Please file a case in the Rent control court or under the Transfer of Property act, nowadays the court are disposing of the case, please tell the lawyer fully about your case and if you have purchased in 2005 and they have not paid the rents immediately he has to move the court to recover the rents or let them face eviction

You can send them notices of termination of tenancy and file eviction suits in the court.

served them with notice asserting that you had purchased the house and demand the rent w.e.f. date of purchase and if they donot pay the rent then proceed as per law to get them evicted.
