Breach of rental agreement

I am being hounded by a debt collector for rent owed and damage to apt, this was over 7 years ago isnt statute o limitations for indiana already over?

The Fair Debt Collections Practice Act gives you the right to send a letter to the collector to desist contacting you. The collector may contact you more time and tell what they will do next. Any contact after that one call is a violation of the FDCPA.
