Can someone check your credit report without your permisson and without your knowledge?

The quick answer is no, but it is permissable to pull a report on you for various reasons. One is for insurance purposes (life ins), two is for employment and three is anyone considering giving you credit. WRITE the bureau and request a list of who has requested your report and for what purposes.
