In Indiana your class C felony carries a minimum sentence of two (2) years and a maximum sentence of eight (8) years. The seven (7) years that must have elapsed in order for your minimum sentence to be suspendable are calculated between the date you were discharged from probation, imprisonment, or parole, whichever one is later, for your nine (9) year old class D felony and the date you committed this class C felony. You should consult an attorney represent you and advise you on how those dates and sentences are calculated.
