Legal Question in DUI Law in Indiana

I have been charged with an owi. They do not have any recording of what I blew as far as my blood alcohol level. I refused to blow but not on purpose (I had never been in trouble before and they asked if I wanted to blow and I said I didn't know and asked if I could talk to someone and they said they couldn't give advice and left it at that and called it a rwfusal). It will be a year this april since this happened and the only plea deal they have given is to take off the refusal. Should I go to a trial and drop my lawyer and get a public defender?

A public defender IS a lawyer. You should not try to proceed in your case without an attorney, and if you can afford one, you should hire your own. This allows you to choose the lawyer you want to represent you. Your attorney can review all of the facts and determine whether you should go to trial or not...that is too broad a question to answer in this forum.

Good luck.
