Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My boyfriend and I bought a house in 2003. Both our names are on mortgage, deed, etc. How can I preserve our credit if we break up? He has claimed all taxes on house since we bought it. I am worried about my credit and getting off the house if we break up. What is the fair way to handle this?

Either refinance the house or sell it. If he wont do either, you will have to file a lawsuit to force the sale. This is called a partition suit.
