Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I got married in North Carolina, now I want a divorce. I have been seperated over a year now but I didnt live there for that year. My husband on the other hand still lives there. Can I file divorce in the state I reside (Indiana). Also with no property, kids or cars between us and with us both working minium wage jobs whats the easiest or cheapest way to get a divorce? How do I start the process? If I have to hire a lawyer how much do they normally charge?

If you have live in Indiana for the last 6 months and the same county for the last 3 months you can file in the county where you live. You can find forms at the Indiana Judiciary Web Site. the court's filing fee is $156 since you will nto be using the sheriff for service. Attorneys fees vary, depedending on how complex a case is.
