Re: missing husband

You will need to find him as he needs notice that you filed for divorce. I suggest that you find an attorney to help you find him.

Re: missing husband

You will need to hire an attorney. Efforts will be made to locate him, and if you make reasonable efforts which you can show to the court, then your service of notice by publication will be sufficient.

But by all means contact an attorney in your county.

Re: missing husband

You do need to make efforts to locate your husband. You can do searches on line and print copies of your efforts. You should also check the phone book where you know he last lived and try to talk to neighbors. If you can locate him, you can use the forms located at the Indiana Judiciary Web Site to draft a Petition. If you can not locate him, you should contact an attorney, show him or her your efforts to find him and the attorney will do what is necessary to allow for Service by Publication.
