Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Mother does not want to cooperate

I have a 5 1/2 year old son who I did not see regularly for the first 4 years of his life due to the fact that his mother is very difficult to deal with. Finaly I decided not to let this stop me and I have been seeing him regularly for over a year and a half now. She has full custody, and my parenting time is set up based on the IN Parenting Time guidelines. She will not cooperate with allowing me to see him for the full amount of time I am allowed based on the guidelines. I would like to know how long I need to have been seeing my son regularly before I can insist on having my son for the full amount of time I am allowed based on the guidelines. Mother has full custody, care and control of my child. She believes that control carries over to how much she agrees to allow me the time set forth in the guidelines.

Re: Mother does not want to cooperate

At this point, you should file a contempt. Your child and you are entitled to that time together.
