Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I am looking to obtain legal guardianship over my 16 year old neice. Her mother is considered homeless since January. They have been living in hotels since the new year began. My niece has not been in school since at least October. She does not want to live with her mother and wants to live with me. I need to obtain guaredianship in order to register her in school and get her on my insurance. What do I need to do to make this happen????

The easiest way is to obtain the written consents of the mother and father and file for guardianship in the Juvenile Court located in Crown Point, Indiana. The court might treat the case as an emergency and hear it immediately. Good luck.
