Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

In the state of Indiana, is there anyway to prevent a non-custodial parent visitaion? We are not, or ever have been married, and the father has been abusive toward me in front of our child, but never to our child.

There are degrees of abuse and there is no way to properly answer your question based on the facts presented. However, in my expereince that abuse would have to be very substantial before a court would prevent a child from visitation with his or her parent.
