Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

paying more than child support

I want to know that can a judge in Indiana make a husband pay more than what is required by law ''Child Support'', if I don't have any money to give other than child support..

What is the bear minimum that a husband and father needs to pay his ex wife. She make more money than I do as well.

Re: paying more than child support

The amount of child support one is obligated to pay is based on a number of factors which includes but are not limited to the income of both parents, child care expenses, medical and dental costs, insurance, not to mention whether back support is owed. So to properly answer your questions, more detailed information about the situation would be needed. In other words, there is no absolute or magic figure which applys across the board to everyone.

Understand tht a court's first concern is for the childern and that when one decides to become a parent parent, they have an unavoidable obligation. It may seem like parental reponsability is great, but then it is under any circumstances.

If you feel that you should have the court review your court ordered obligation, then invest in an attorney. If you are paying more then your fair share, have a lawyer examine your situation. It might be the best investment you will ever make.

If you really believe it is worth looking at, do something constructive about it.
