Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

Is there anyway to stop or delay a child support case from keeping an income tax refund for back support payment. The father had been taking care the child but didn't keep up with the receipts and paperwork as he should have.

The father may be able to obtain an affidavti frim the mother stating that he had paid. the father should in the future make payments to the state processing unit for child support. They maintain independent records of payments made. Good luck
