Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

car title transfer

my son traded a car for another car. when he got the bill of sale the guy he traded stated he was the sole owner of the vehicle. upon receiving the title, he is not the sole owner and the title only has one signature. The other owner refuses to sign the title. what can we do? the guy has since sent my son a text message saying he has messed up the car my son traded in the first place (with a clear title) I am fearful this person is legally going to now own both cars. being since we can not run this title without proper signatures.

Re: car title transfer

Your son has a real problem. His best bet is to sue for breach of an agreement and possibly fraud, seeking the value of the car that he did own and traded and he should save that text as evidence. Good luck.
