Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

Libel/Slander

I quit my job after my boss (who owns the business as a DBA) was arrested for child molestation. Through an investigation, we found out that he was convicted of the same crime before. He is out on bond, waiting for the trial to begin, which includes continuing to operate his business. He has several contracts with businesses and residences that have children present. If we were to ''annonomously'' notify these businesses that he has been charged and a trial is pending (by simply providing them with a copy of the public record and/or media coverage); is that grounds for a lawsuit on my ex-employers behalf towards me? We are concerned that these businesses are unaware and have a right to know who they are conducting business with.

From a societal standpoint, what you are suggesting is a good thing to do. However this site is not called Societyguru its Law Guru. You are exposing yourself to a possible cause of action. Even if you would win, you would incur sextensive legal fees.
