Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

Time limit for litigation to be over?

I know there are statutes of limitations for when you can file suit against someone, but is there a time limit for how long a suit can take. I'm the defendant in a civil case which is relatively small and should be simple, but the plaintiff is deliberately doing things to make it drag on. Is there ever a limit to the length of time a case can take before it is heard and dispensed with?
