I lived w/my ex b/f in his arpment for about 1 1/2 month my last night there was oct1 my name was on the lease well once i moved out he told me tht he took myname off the lease well he didnt he told the landlord but she needed it in writting. so she wrote on the lease tht i moved out then.but i was still on the lease b/c he didnt do it in writting. about a month ago he was witholding some of my things and she (landlord)wasnt able to get me a key b/c i moved out. so now hes late on rent (2 months ) around $540 a month so do u think i will have to pay half even thow ive been gone since oct and his rent is late from dec and jan. landlord knows tht i could not get in the aprtment would the judge agree not to make me pay? please help corporte is taking him to court and me to casue im on lease. thanks amy

You are on the lease and will probably be stuck. However, you certainly should argue that the landlord would not let you in, and therefore, confirmed by its conduct that you wer no longer responsible. You have a shot with that argument.
