Legal Question in Insurance Law in Indiana
Is a state Farm agent an employee of State Farm. I ask as I was told they are not and do not have to follow any of State Farm's Code of Ethics and can discuss your business with other insured and only have a contract with State Farm that they can not commit fraud or theft. I live in Indian. thank you for your time

Agents are not employees. Whether they are required to follow any specific rules of conduct depends upon their agreement with State Farm.
